Having re-surfaced a road near here, some Highland Council joker has had this painted:

Any votes for what *might* soon appear painted 100 yards further on? How's about:

ONLY KIDDING

or perhaps:

AS IF!

...any other suggestions?

I think perhaps a 30 limit sign and a gatso can't be far behind....

I need to make a pilgrimage to your neck of the woods before it's too late I think...

Got some nice pics of my Box just there - in the parking area to the right behind the camera.

Cracking road that.

Just a point: When I first moved to Southern England I'd come across chevron signs meaning bend. Being a Welsh lad I'd stand on the brakes to get down the 20mph necessary and then be horrified to discover there was a little kink in the road. In North Wales when they sign corners it means come to a virtual stop or die - not "oooh a little bend".

Maybe on that road SLOW means - bring your speed down from 100 leptons to about 70 for this next one?

Its all relative.

Another lovely photo BTW, Mr Carter. You even make a SLOW on the road look visually appealing. rofl

Perhaps - SLOW

Followed by - Speed Cameras

The Pic photoshoped to show speed cameras every 30 yards going off into the distance.

The road would go from a dream road to a red tape PC correct nightmare

Nick

Fantastic!

Any objections to me nicking that for my desktop picture? laugh

The wife, kids and I are staying up on Loch Awe for a week in a couple of weeks time. Any recommendations as to the route I should be taking from Glasgow as I'm a little spoilt for choice!

I think "TOO" in font of it and "Minimum 100MPH" after.

Martin.

Round Glasgow on the motorways and up to Stirling on the M9, cut left on the A84 through Doune, Callendar and on to the A85 - cracking roads and superb scenerycloud9

/\ Wot he said.. Loch Awe is about 150 miles south of here, so can't help a huge amount. I hope the weather is kind!

If going up on a Sat/Sun, be prepared for some of the daftest bike overtaking you've ever seen. Particularly up past the viaduct area.

I didn't know there was a big MOL problem up in the highlands. Is that where all those hills come from?

And when did you start driving on the right?

Feel free to steal the local example down here Steve....some chalk wielding maniac near us has "crossed out" SLOW and written FAST on a particularly memorable corner.
