Keeping the dust down in your Vettes garage.

I was starting to tire of the amount of dust around my garage and even though my vette is not roadworthy at this time i still clean it and had noticed the constant dust settlement,even with the cover on the car.
The main source of the dust is the garage floor so after a good brush and hoover i gave the floor a coat of PVA,once dry i gave it one coat of undiluted Tile red 'Floor paint',from Wilkinsons @ £13.99 for a 5 litre tin,total price £28 for two tins to cover a large single garage with around half a tin left over.
I also filled in the cracks between the floor and walls, and up to the DPC to stop hiding places for spiders and stop their bloody webs forming.
Its so much easier to sweep clean now without the cloud of dust that used to accompany sweeping.
All applied with a two inch brush.

I painted the walls as well. Not only does it cut down on dust but makes the garage much lighter. The Corvette banner 'I found' at LeMans a couple of years back also makes the garage brighter as well.
How strong are those tiles Godzilla?? I can get them at a discount through ZR1 net but I'm not sure they will withstand the weight of the car lift with the car on it without any damage.

As long as the lift doesn't have very sharp edges it should be fine.

I painted mine with grey paint from Homebase - think it was probably similar to yours Cliff. Did it first by wire brushes (hands and knees) and then rollered it on (Sciencebird kindly brushed the edges).
Only problems:
1) Whoever said 'it's touch dry in 6 hours' is a pathological liar
2) No one tells you what to do with all the junk that is now sitting OUTSIDE the garage while the paint is wet
3) You will wear out a set of kneelers while scrabbling about
4) You pull the paint off the floor if you hold the car on the brakes and put your foot down on the lou pedal (I was trying to recreate a misfire problem in, a, er, in hindsight, not very sensible way...)

Good idea about the walls,i might use a clear sealer instead on mine.Only problems:
