Can someone recommend a good independent garage for BMW service in Thames Valley area (I'm in Windsor.)
Based on my TVR and Porsche experience, I'm automatically assuming main BMW dealer will be rubbish, overly expensive and rude!

Car is a 2002 325. Likely going to need new disks/pads too

Thanks
Jon

What about Nationwide Autocentre - they have won the industry award for the last 3/4 years for price/quality of work/customer satisfaction and as your car is relatively old there is now no point to get it main dealer serviced and one could say there is no need to use genuine parts.

I was planning to take my e36 328 to Thomas and Spicer, along the arches in Windsor. He always looked after my Westfield, and does a good job. Not tried him on the beemer yet, though.

Are there not recognised BMW independent specialists around? That's the case with porkers and tvrs - but perhaps bmws are understand well by general garages?
Thanks guys
Jon

You've got Phil Crouch of CPC (01895 25 2288/07960 280 953) is in Uxbridge - he's an expert on M's, but not sure what his current rates are, and might not be VFM if his M-expertise is not specifically required.

Phil charges around £ 50 inc VAT per hour I believe.

I use BMWorx based in Aylesbury.

Tel number is 01296 614646

Run by an ex BMW Service Manager and Mechanic. Excellent service and very good reputation both locally and on the net.

Cheers,
Phill

Edited to add: I had a Inspection 1 service, I was shown any parts they had replaced and they always talk through the invoice with me, explaining what was done and why.

Let it not be said that I don't use the search function smile

Does anyone have any recommendations in the SW London / Gtr London area? My E46 330ci has started making a brief groan on initial left turn in, and I'd like to get an indy to take a look at it..?
