doubtful. hamilton has proved quite adept at setting up cars and the mclaren team are, in my opinion, the most technically astute engineers.

2) Honda finally deliver a chassis that Button can work with, he wins 2 more races, but early season reliability stops him short of going for the title.

if he doesnt go to mclaren in place of alonso, cant see it happening to be honest. i just dont think hte current honda team are capable of stumbling upon a winning chassis, they need a new principal designer first.

3) Todt retires at the helm of the Ferrari F1 team, though retains his role looking after the road cars.

doubtful. managing a racing team and running a business are wildly different activities. i dont think todt will know the car market and be able to maintain ferraris place amongst Aston martin, porsche et al

4) Ross Brawn becomes the new Team Boss and brings back stability to the team.

quite likely, god knows they need someone....

5) Michael Schumacher, with the knowledge that Ross is back, accepts the role of Ferrari Sporting Director and becomes a regular face again at each GP event

whats in it for him other than to tarnish a reputation a la prost?

6) The Singapore street race at night becomes the most talked about race of the year for all the right reasons, putting the glamour of Monaco in the shade!

street circuits dont work, monaco, macau, pau, phoenix, never seen a good race at any of them for years. it will be a terrible race. a corporate piss up and no more.

7) Alonso back in a Renault reignites the spark that the team have missed this year and fights all the way to the end with Kimi in the Ferrari.

yes.

8) Kimi comes of age and holds up well against Alonso in the Renault, but just misses out by a few points, giving the Spaniard his third title that helps wash away the shite he's had to deal with in 2007.

the shite is self inflicted, but i think to win the title alonso will need a better number two than HK

9) Ralf can't find a race seat in 2008 beer no surpise there then biglaugh

i certainly hope to god no one takes him on but spyker et al might want the "experience" he can apparently offer...

10) ITV finally decide that F1 is too much hassle and do not submit a tender to renew their contract post 2008 - opening the doors for the BBC to secure the coverage thumbup
doubtful. bbc just cant afford sport anymore, apparently license payers want a plethora of dancing related programmes full of gonna-be's and never-were's. give it to eurosport i say, at least they deliver motogp with a passion....

1) Lewis turns out to be Michael Shoeis love child and was planted at McMerc precisly to secure the championship. Ross Brawn had planned this over ten years ago. Clever guy that RB...

2) The FIA investigate all teams for not being Ferrari. All found guilty.

3) Fez budget goes up by an amount very similar to that of the total fuines from point 2

4) Fez buys Italy (see points 2-3). In an interview JT is quoted as saying, "now we have a state we will really go to war with other teams."

5) In an unfortuanate slip in the rules, the exact spec of traction control was never specified. Tyres are banned from F1.

6) DC does indeed become the next Bond. Tricks out his RBR car. Front wing seperates to become an unmanned drone.

7) Button doubles his points tally. Honda are 5th in constructors. Get banned for not being Ferrari. Get banned again as it turns out that 2 14 year old NSX's and a s2000 as a spare car are not legal in F1.

9) Despite all teams being banned Fez come 2nd in construcotrs. MS and RB come back to Fez. JT says their lack of winning is as a result of the other teams "failing to stop our cars breaking down, letting us overtake and reading their emails"

10) McMerc, realising that Fez is now a country and has declared war on them remember what happened last time the Italians went to war. Fez give JT command of military stratagy due to the proud history of the French military. In a suprise move, Eddie Jordan invades Italy by standing at the border looking a bit scary...

Even Ferrari? It's like the old urban legend that Elvis is still alive, and only came 3rd in an Elvis-look-a-like competition.

1) The Ferrari fanboys will continue to expect the #1 Ferrari driver to win all season regardless of how far they are trailing on points.

2) Their will be constant arguments about Ferrari's 'bending' of the TC rules (Among others) the fanboys defending them to the hilt, others calling for blood.

3) There will be at least 1000 Hamilton threads on this forum, regardless of how he is doing and what he is saying - the opinions will be as polar opposites as those about Ferrari

4) Alonso will get slated, no matter what he does or says, or who he's driving for.

5) The championship will be over 3/4 way through the season but people will still try and wring a 'competition' out of it.

6) Mclaren will blame the small pit garage and budget for any failings on reliability or performance in 08

1) Alonso leaves McLaren and using his personal wealth, forms his own team, FU-LH Racing. Pedro de la Rosa is the second driver, but is known as the third driver for political reasons. The team fails to score a point all season.

2) Jenson Button joins Hamilton at McLaren, which becomes the most English team in the history of F1. The team is sponsored by Twinings, and both drivers wear bowler hats at press conferences. Hamilton takes the World Championship for a second time after baring his arse at Raikonnen at Shanghai. The glaring sun eminating from within blinds Kimi and he crashes at turn 4.

3) Ferrari accuse the FIA of stealing the letters F, I and A from the word Ferrari. FIA members fine themselves $435 million and disqualify themselves from running F1. Max Moseley commits seppuku and is buried with full honours at Maranello.

4) Honda unveils its latest car, based on a 1999 Prelude but with a B&Q fence panel nailed to the front. There are concerns about aerodynamic efficiency.

5) Super Aguri run a car based on the 2007 Honda HF1211H ride on lawnmower. They out perform the Honda factory team at every race and leave all the track verges nicely trimmed.

6) Spyker is taken over by Emperor Palpatine of the Galactic Republic. Bernie Ecclestone drops strong hints that there could be a Grand Prix on the Death Star in 2010.

7) Mark Webber is struck down by malaria, which keeps him out of most of the season. He blames mosquitoes, then Lewis Hamilton.

8) Sebastian Vettel runs into financial difficulties with his sponsors. He claims he was busy looking into the finances of Lewis Hamilton and didn't see it coming.

9) Prodrive are told they can't use other people's chassis designs, so they run a PPP Impreza. They score points in every race.

10) QPR win the Championship.

8) Pistonheads forum will see the same individuals posting on the next GP.
