hehe its amazing what you can do with photoshop...and hamerite!!!

its running...brakes done...front lights are working...need to finish painting the back end so i shall be DRIVING it out the garage tonight/tomorrow and turning it round...and i still have to paint the doors, boot and bonnet and get a new folding roof section....

I bet the neighbours cant wait to hear it in the mornings...i seriously reckon a couple more weeks to get it mot'd and a while longer to say i have finished....

in all fairness it is a double length garage so it wasnt too bad...but yes - stripped the chassis in the garage while the body sat outside...replaced the outriggers and did any other bits of welding that needed doing and then resprayed it...

Still have to retrim the interior but that can wait...i want it back on the road!!!!!!!!

Is that my drainage strip mod down the inner wing? If so do the otherside and around the wiper wink

Dave

PS You did put a spirit level on the front and rear central crossmembers...Your pic makes the chassis look quite twisted to me? Sure its just an optical illusion.

Just a strip of rubber (adhesive closed cell foam in my case) to make the water run to front rather than all down the inner wings onto the insulation wink

if you are talking about the inner drivers wing that is the super long bonnet support!!!

I had a spitit level all over the chassis when i had finished welding it up...i am sure (hope) it is an optical illusion!!!

It *might* have been faster but i am going for the stealth look...!!!

Do you take your chim off the road in winter in case you lose it when it snows...? hehe come to think of it....white, pulsing lights.....bring it round and we can spray some stripes on it and it make it into the world fastest ambulance....!!!!

...and it wasnt that heavy when you lot lifted the body...god that was ages ago...!!!

I shall definately give you a shout when i do the roof...might be better with two of us doing it

Thats a great job your doing there , I really like the colour too . Are you keeping the interior the same or are you changing that too ? I see theres a place on the valley the (furniture clinic) i think, Does leather colourant kits Im going to change the seats on mine from grey to black over the winter.
I might have to invest in a heater though its brassic in the garage .

I will be changing the interior but it will still be black.
Luckily i work for the company that makes the interiors for nissan so i shall be retrimming everything in black leather with a matt finish instead of the shiney stuff originally used...and will be reshaping the seats with lifters and lumber supports

I used to have a girlfriend who worked for Rothmans, her white company car with the blue stripes really was great fun, even tho it was just a shi77y Cavalier. Everybody just fell over themselves trying to get out of your way hehe

Andy

Looking really good, and can't wait to see it. Are you re-painting the roof, or covering it as part of the roof refurb. Always liked the red painted targa panel....

If you look in the bottom photo, it looks like it was taken befor you bolted the crossmember back in, otherwise it is well and truly twisted........

Cheers
