Small puffs of smoke from bonnet
Discussion
Hi,
First post for my Tuscan! . The other day (Saturday) I was stuck in 'stand still' or very slow moving traffic for 30 mins or so ... When I notice a puff of smoke comming from the front left side of the bonnet. I checked all my readings on the dash and everything was in a normal range . Water temp was going between 94 -98c Both fans kick in at 96 or 97 . I pulled over and decided that I would leave the car for an hour or so too cool down and for the traffic to clear !!.
(Didn't fancy getting ribbed at the side of the road ;0))
This morning I was stuck in traffic again less then 10 mins and I notice a puff of smoke again !! Im not sure if i'm being parnoid or if I have a problem .
Please help !! Parnoid or problem ???
Many Thanks
Andy

Has your car just been serviced at Offords?
No seriously, the same thing happened to me on the way back from having a service from that fine independant dealer
It was a small oil leak from the cam cover area dripping on to the very hot exhaust manifolds, it will trace itself back to the back of the engine near number 6 cylinder, on the very leading edge, it will need more silicon to seal the cover, it shouldn`t take long, if you are near to Fareham come round and i will help you do it

Car is due a service in less the 1000 miles may get it booked in soon as last night the lcd is displaying 'EFI Fault' that is staying on 99% of the time. Only appears when the engine is started and not when the key is turned in the ignition.
(Meaning when its stopped I can see all the readings i.e water, oil temp).
Has anyone had the same problem?
Can anyone recommend a good tvr dealer or specialist for servicing and fault finding in the Horndean, Hampshire area ?
Many Thanks

Goon1001,
My brother has used them on his tuscan and he wasn't happy with the service. Problem
were:
1, No paper work given for work carried or VAT reciept
2,He had a problem with a misfire and was told that a service would resolve the problem, it didn't!
Money taken for a service and then told you need a rebuild!! why not say that a rebuild was required before charging £500 + for a service.
3, Parts required i.e new rear screen. Never received a call back from them
Cheers
