HELP ! Strange noises after handbrake adj

Hi can anyone help?
Picked my car up from a garage after having the handbrake adjusted,
after less than a mile i could feel the rear brakes dragging the car almost to a stop. After stopping there was a burning smell from under the car & the wheel on the left rear was red hot!After the garage readjusted the handbrake there was a rumbling noise inside the car from the rear and burning smell from the underside.
I have been back to the said garage numerous times who after leaving the car with them have said they cant find anything wrong and that it may be road noise!
If anyone has an ideas can you pls let me know, Thanks

That sort of heat can't have done the wheel bearing any good.

Hi Phelix. suggested that at garage but according to them they are ok.
I think it may be time to take it to another garage for a second opinion !

had a simila problem on mine, but the shoe fell to bits in side the drum, could be worth checking
