Anyone got any ideas for watching the GP in central London this weekend?

There must be somewhere to watch the race with a big fry up after a night out.

Hmmm, the clue may have been in the subject that it was the China GP I was looking for, but I should have probably known better with you jesters at this time of night. rolleyes

There's 4 of us, one in Balham, one in Putney, one in Highbury and one in Rotherhithe. We could go to one of our houses to watch it together, spending an hour on public transport before the race starts, or we could all meet in the middle, have a fry up, maybe a cheeky bloody mary and then all pile into the fountains in Trafalgar Square if Lewis "The Hype" Hamilton does it.

Got this info from a mate:

There is a new Pub venue for sport.
it's called Three Famous Kings.
Make a right out of the West Kensington Tube station and voila!

Multi satellite coverage of all sports events.
Sunday at 7pm they even have a live 'Talladega Nights' party to celebrate JV's first NASCAR race.

I used to live around the corner from F3K. Good sports pub but they won't show F1 if there's a more popular sport on (ie football/rugby).

I think the time of day stuffs up the chance of seeing this at a pub.

Yep I watched one there a month or so ago. Get there a bit early and you might find a seat. Or get food there and you can eat and watch (I wish i'd done this). If you do end up leaning on the bar for 2 hours dont drink 4 pints of shandy and then get on the tube busting for a pee.....

Having said that what time of day is the China GP? and will they show it live or the re-run? I'm not sure.

Don't want you to get up too earlier on a Sunday morning - the race starts at 7am UK time according to the Official F1 site

ITV programme starts at 6, so that will be a hour of Lewis hype then. rolleyes

ITV programme finishes at 9.05, so if it's a wet race and goes the full 2 hours we'll get no post race coverage, good planning there. rolleyes

Give the Sports Cafe a call and see if they are opening. If LH wins they could make a whole bundle of cash from drinks, breakfast etc!

£15 entance

The 3 Famous Kings, usually full of Queens.
Its a trap, as the flag drops you'll be locked up in the cellar bound and tied in a gimp outfit slurring viciously on Rohypnol.

Good Luck.
