HI there

Just got a Chim 4.0. It is fitted with a Cobra alarm/immob system. However, no destructions.

The keyring has two "extra" items. One is a black unit, looks like a mini USB key, no markings.

The other is a Cobra item and looks like a mini car cig lighter. (crap descriptions, I know, but best I can do)

Anbody know what they do?

Next, when arming the alarm it emits a single tone for about 30 secs. This sounds like it is telling me a switch or something is not working. I would have expected a couple of beeps or something.

Can anyone confirm any of this?

Thx in anticipation

Phil

I have the USB shaped key you are referring to on my Meta alarm system. This is a de-activation for the imboiliser and fits into a slot on the steering column.

Hello again

OK, took out all the sensors. The door sensors are short circuit when the door is closed, the bonnet and boot are open circuit when they are closed. Set all this up and still getting the 30 second beep.
Only thing I don't know anything about is the "motion sensor" I don't even know if it is fitted. What is it and where is it?

Are there any sensors I have missed??

Cheers

Phil
