Warranty work dealers list

Does anyone have a list of dealers where warranty work can be done, should I need it (touch wood I don't)
Managed to get touchup paint for £11, from Aberdeen!

From my own bitter experience I would NOT recommend the one in Derby. Was warned by people on here after it had gone that they were bad. The final straw came when they told me that they had the parts, the car and the "technician" all in the same place but he was too busy to work on my car, even though it had been with them a month. He must have a hell of a backlog

Vauxhall customer services e-mailed me a full list, I just had a trawl but can't find it now.

If you go through the web site enquiries service they should be able to send it to you.

it's probably easier if you tell us where you are as even the authorised dealers are very hit or miss. I use Motorbodies in Luton who are superb. Crownhill in Milton Keynes on the other hand are shockingly poor and should be avoided.

Excellent, I'm still waiting on Vauxhall getting back to me...
Believe Belmont Aberdeen can be added and I'm going to check Arnold Clark Pollockshaws Road in Glasgow too... that'd save any trips to Edinburgh... never mind Aberdeen

Arnold Clark in Pollokshaws road sold me my car - would never take it back there for work though and they weren't official dealers last I checked. Only Belmont in Edinburgh had the correctly trained staff in Scotland - if the Aberdeen branch are doing work then they must have transferred staff there. Vauxhall were very strict on who could and couldnt do work on the cars and order parts.

I took my VXR to the Evans Halshaw in Middlesbrough about 2 months ago for the earth in the seat warranty, which they did, but while there i was told that they where taken off the list for doing Monaros and would not undertake any warranty or servicing work any more ( they wern't best pleased about the decision to exclude them ).

It just worries me that Vauxhall has sent out a list that must be out of date, i wonder how many others on that list have been dumped.

How about we make our own list of who we've found to be ace and who we've found to be not so good? Whats the position for the likes of Msrs Monkfish and others for taking on warranty work? Seems to me that the independants are as experienced as the dealers (and a lot more enthusiastic than some!) Sorry if this is covering old ground for some out there but the situation seems to be changing re who can and who cant work on our cars. If Vauxhall are out to dump us we need to find alternatives.

That's is quite an old list.

Sadly Monkfish can't get paid by Vauxhall for warranty work, although Vauxhall are happy for them to service the car without affecting warranty.

I've got the old Lance Owen, renamed Now Vauxhall, near me and I'm not sure I'm happy to use them.

Nearest one for me is a good 90miles away (Edinburgh) and it's not supposed to be the best. Think a road trip may be required for my service

The list was sent to me early July, so it is bout 3 months out of date.

I had warranty and non-warranty work carried out by the dealer that supplied my Monaro, in East Anglia (work it out from the list!). After my experience I would not let them change the plugs on my 20-year-old Cavalier.

I wrote to the General Manager to explain my gripes but he did not have the courtesy to reply.

GM's apparent inability to provide decent support for the cars is why I will not buy a newer Monaro. Even finding a competent 'approved' dealer appears to be a bit of a lottery. I am glad Monkfish are there, but this does not excuse Vauxhall, and warranty work is still an issue.

Does anyone have anything to say about Browns of Loughton? Still have a T/C problem to sort......
