Hi all

There's a 1997 4.5 Chimaera advertised near to me that is advertised as having heated seats? I've never heard of this in a Chimaera - is it likely to be genuine?

Thanks

Although why anyone would need heated seats is beyond me. The heating in general has two settings. Off = hot, On = censored hot

Yep, I've got them on my '98 450. The dealer didn't advertise them & so I didn't know they were on there. I only found them when I was trying to check out the function of a switch at the back of the steering column housing. The switch just didn't seem to do anything - I even went out in the dark to see if it was lamp related etc.

Just didn't understand it until I was out for a blast one day & suddenly found my gonads roasting without the usual visual stimulation!! wobble

PS I leave them on most of the time now! bounce

Which, your heated seats or your gonads?

I don't have detachable gonads. I thought about a penile enlargement once but then I thought what the hell, 12" is quite long enough! woohoo

Yes, you're right, I've just had a sneeky look on your profile at the size of yours and I hate to say it, but I've got a bigger one than you! cool

If you wanted heated seats, google a company called Waeco… in fact, look for a kit on fleabay. 50-60 quid gets you two sets of pads, and all the wiring complete with two stage heating options.
