Well my personal experience of police crime handling it would have to be Fawlty Towers. but I'm sure not evryone has had bad experience.

Where I am based - in a rural area - Heartbeat is about as near to real life as you can get . Before the nick was refurbished, it even looked like the inside of the police station on that programme, not that I watch it.
