Battery type

Right - have gone to replace the current battery, as it's starting to complain a bit about cold starts.

Trundled down to Halfords, got a type 72 and it's slightly bigger that the one that's coming out and won't fit

Does anyone know what will fit?

Replaced mine recently and thought the same, had to use a couple of hefty levers to allow it to drop in over the fixing point, after a few cups of coffee and it fitted!
Like yours it was the Halfords 72....£87

The new shape 72 doesn't fit, the hole just isn't high enough.

Fortunately I managed to find an old shape one lurking at the back of their shelves
