Tbh I don't think he does a bad job of commentating for 2 to 3 hours solid. Sure he drops some clangers but so did Murray Walker, besides Louise Goodman makes Allen look like Einstein by comparison.
Agreed, but at least Murray Walker had a decent enough personality that it was pretty funny when he messed things up.

I know she's never been an oil painting, but did you notice what a pie ass swamp donkey she looked when the camera was on Lewis after his off, and she was walking along behind.

I've noticed that Allen sometimes seems to guess what's going on at the start. Today he said "Raikkonen's made a good start and is along side Hamilton" - cut to long shot and we find out it's not true.

He used to present Itv's indycar coverage back when Nigel Mansell was in it and for some reason all the americanisms stuck.

There's currently a documentary about Lewis Hamilton on BBC3. James popped up talking about Lewis relationship with his father.

Lewis has obviously got an amzing relationship with his father. My eldest is six and he already doesn't listen to a word I say!"

I see he's learn't early then!hehe

Writes phrase next to "weapons grade cock" in notebook. Can I get away with using it in a Powerpoint I wonder?

I did spot her. She then changed back into her 3 layer nomex for the later interviews though didn't she?

It's the "and so-and-so's right on the bubble there..." that really rankles with me - it has no meaning at all, even as a metaphor. Plus, he seems to use it interchangeably to describe someone who is either on the cusp of being knocked out of the qualifying rounds (i/e doing poorly) or someone who is really "on it" and making progress (i/e doing well).

I thought he was poor even by his own standards this weekend. Simply cannot understand why ITV haven't replaced him.

James Allen is good on that documentary. I don't mind Allen tbh, its the other pair i can't stand. I'm still waiting for them to state something other than the bleeding obvious.

Proud of what...

they don't call him THE COCK for nothing - he's killing F1, as too are ITV, Max, Bernie and a few others...

I was always under the impression that a "click" is a kilometer...
