I have just purchased a 1994 S4 and the leather is a bit tatty. Does anyone know a trustworthy company that would be able to re-trim the hole thing and how much should I expect to pay?

Lotus USA have sales from time to time where you can pick up replacement leather seat covers very cheap ~ $1-200

The front section along the windscreen requires your to pull the glass out to replace so I would not touch that unless you had to.

The, binnacle, centre console, door panels etc sould be pretty straight forward to do, but do not have an idea on cost.

Some guys on the turboesprit list have done this (groups.yahoo.com/turboesprit) and can probably answer for you.

paul at foriegn toys has done complete interiors. I saw a Gcar that looked brand new inside when he was done. I think he said 1500$ all in.

Retrimming has just been discussed on the uklotusesprit yahoo group. Several suggestions. The obvious answer would be to take it to lotus. Kato paid 200 quid i think for his retrim on a sport 300 seat.

Here's the link, which includes the contact and tel no.

fyi most americans (including myself) have no idea who/what/where a 'quid' is..

On another note.. my friend had is 93.5 redone with leatherette (processed leather made from scraps) for about $800 for the seats, dash, and center console. It looks amazing and will probably last much longer than real leather.

Quid = slang term for Pound. As in Dollar, rather than Ounce...

Two countries separated by an almost common lingo...
