once again a driver doing well in a race , but the tyres are past their best ( kimmi last year or year before) do they bring him in bearing in mind in ordre to win the championship wining points, he must finish the race.
do they bring him in..??
NO
do they say hey lewis let kimmi through, yeah he will probs win the race, but you win the title and which is most important today!!??
NO
pure and utter stupidity of the highest order.
they spend thousands... make that millions making the fastest car
millions getting a world class team together
millions on R and D
small fortunes on all the little details to hone the last 1000th out of the car
small fortunes on weather predicting data
have years and years and years of experience going motor racing, but when lewis is visibly losing seconds a lap. ( 7 in 1 lap alone) and its clear to everyman and his dog that its time to come in,
do they bring him in
no
unbelivable stupidity, and someones balls should be in a vice tonight!!!
yes some of you will say ahh but they had to be certain of the weather conditions.... I say b77ox to that!! if you want to finish the race you need tyres, they looked pretty near fcuked after the 1st stint, so how can they have been anything other than further fcuked by the second stint. surely they see the pictures we do? and probably more besides...
if you can SEE the tyre s are gone, get him in change em and get him gone, evan if he came home behind FA he would still have scored and made the job harder....
as it is he just blew the title IMHO, and its now KIMMIs title coz a red car WILL win in Brazil!

At the end of the day the chap behind the wheel could feel his tyres, the chap behind the wheel didn't need to fight for the lead, the chap behind the wheel could have evaluated the relative performances and it was the chap behind the wheel that came into the pits too quickly.
A top driver needs to be able to say "I'm coming in now, I need new tyres, what's the forecast?", then make a decision based on the data he's been fed and the recommendations. The good news is this particular driver will be able to do that from now on.

Should Lewis win now, FA can't possibly claim favouritism
oops sorry Mr alonso i honestly didnt realise your wheel nut was still lose on leaving pit lane..................Yes, it was disapointing as he seemed to have left Kimi and Alonso in his slipstream and after out-qualifying them again, they must have thought that Lewis is the real deal and 2nd place was there only hope.
Depending on the weather and a clean start, i still think he will win it - Just cant really handle 2 weeks of Ifs & Buts.

I disagree with you about the driver coming into the pits of his own accord for tyre changes. The team has the meteorological equipment, not him. If you were in a 2-3 lap rainy spell (rain was predicted at that time), you'd want to be sure of what you were doing rather than having to do two pit stops because of a poor choice? Coupled to this, LH couldn't see his tyres because his mirrors were dirty, and in those circumstances, I can't imagine he should be the only decision maker.

Even if LH made two pit stops he would still have scored points.
I couldn't stop laughing
'The Cock' was also at his best (I mean worst) I could have sworn he was crying in the commentary box as he saw his adopted son loose it in the pits
What was even funnier was all the build-up by ITV was so over the top, especially the bit with the England Rugby team - how sickening was that
Everyone from ITV thought that Lewis would be champion on Sunday...
me thinks several had eggs on their faces last night

I'm not sure that Allen is as biased in favour of Hamilton as you suggest. If anything, I thought that he was more subdued about Hamilton's plight than he might have been, and enthusiastic about the fact that Raikkonen was home free.Allen's just written a biography of Michael Schumacher, and he named his son "Enzo".
Surely the fact of the matter is - these guys including Hamilton are earning a fortune out of this from us the fans etc. They are suppose to be the BEST!!!
I wonder if I fu*ked up on my job so badly if I would still have it!!!!!!!
Hamilton knew his tyres were shot, he also had plenty of time to brake before the corner. Unsighted my a*s.
The pit lane is the same for all the drivers!!! and they have been in and out of it all weekend.
If anyone here still has the live morning ITV coverage, have a look again at Hamilton shaking hands with R Dennis at the track wall. I could swear Ron says 'Sorry' to him!!!!
