Thanks to Orange (More like seeing Red!) I've just got back my internet connection after ....... 10 bloody days. This was only one of a series of mishaps that befell me over the last week or so ......
Electrical problems in the house
Plumbing - Leak and loss of tap pressure
Contacting Orange (See above) everyday in attempts to resolve my broadband problem. (Have you tried getting through to them?
and then when you do .... God I could write pages on it ... and have in complaint to them.
Parked the car at work - lovely sunny, warm day so roof down. Groundsman with his leaf blower decides to do his bit beside the the cars where I have parked .... yep you're ahead of me here .... Blows several trees worth of foliage into the car
I had a polite word with him ... OK that's not strictly true it was mostly expletives with just the one polite word and the word was "off"
Take the Chim for a drive - after having checked my fluid levels (the clue in this particular mishap is "fluid levels"
Next day I decide to check on the small coolant leak I've got. Lift the bonnet and ......
Missing header tank cap. Suddenly realise with stomach churning shock that I must not have replaced it the previous day when doing the fluid checks and even worse I can't find it anywhere. Look around the engine bay, under the car, in the garage .... even the dogs mouth (He's a Lab Retreiver!) Then as I am about to close the bonnet out the corner of my eye I see a familiar blue cap lodged under the corner of the bonnet. Much relief and thankfully not much coolant loss from the header tank - The previous day was only a journey of a few miles.
The only thing that has not let me down or added to my woes (excluding human error) during the last 7 -10 days was .... the Chimaera
It never missed a beat, did everything I asked of it and still managed to put a smile on my face despite my frustrations and despair with the above mentioned mishaps.
Woe betide the next person who hints or suggests that TVR are unreliable etc etc. because I'll be having a polite word with them
The car kept its head when all around were losing theirs ... including me
