Alright, not the worst thing in the world, but the one night I leave the MX5 out overnight rather than tucking her away in the garage, and some cretin thinks it would be funny and I would really appreciate him/her yanking my aerial and bending right over so now its a health hazard!

I know it could have been a lot worse, but still feels like you cant enjoy anything in this life without some arse spoiling it for you.

So many t*ssers out there.

I was thinking about getting an electric aerial for mine, head them off at the pass. Too bloody expensive though.

That really sucks. What area do you live in? It is a shame idiots can't leave things alone.

Bar Stewards ,you can fit the S2000 aerial on with a bit of playing around ,only have to worry about someone stealing it then

[Cough] Luton [Cough]. Not surprising really and as I said, glad it wasnt worse. But what't the f*cking point eh? I wonder if they considered the implications when they got home....probably not. Probably pissed in the sink then fell asleep in their one bed boxroom of a sh*tty council flat!!!!!

Years ago (+20) I had a Mk3 Cortina. It was a bit of a dog but solid enough.
I decided to tidy it up a bit by respraying it one panel at a time.
I started with the bonnet and I have to say I did a damn fine job of it. I rubbed it right down to the metal then sprayed it with rust protection paint, followed by a few layers of primer, each rubbed down to make sure it was perfectly smooth and even. I then sprayed it with a nice deep-blue metallic which I also applied with a number of layers, each rubbed down to make sure it was smooth & even. I finished it off with a good quality clear coat. The job probably took me a week from start to finish.
After that I did the front wings an then the drivers door.

I parked the car in the middle of Norwich (not a place known for being rough) in the middle of the day while I did some shopping. When I got back to the car it found someone had scratched it, probably with a key, across all the panels I'd sprayed. Needless to say I was devastated. It wasn't the cost - the car couldn't have been worth more than about £250 and I'd only spent about £30 on materials - it was just the fact that I'd spent so much time and effort only for some moron to come along and destroy it in a second!

I didn't bother to repair it and I didn't finish the car. I sold it a few months later to be used by a mate as a stock-car and it died in a demolition-derby on it's first outing.

Why do some people have to be such c**ts? (sorry to use that word but it's the best one for the situation).

Here here! It is exactly the same - you work your arse off for something and someone thinks they can just come along and spoil it. Blimey, this thread should be in the P&P!
