The Points Calculations for Brazil To win LEWIS MUST....

Based on the season so far.
To win the Championship.
If Alonso wins
Lewis must come second./1
If Raikkonen wins and Alonso isn't second
Lewis must come fifth or better./2
If Raikkonen wins and Alonso is second
Lewis must come fourth or better/3
/1 Lewis cannot be on equal points with Alonso if Alonso wins in Brazil he will have 5 wins to Hamiltons 4
/2 If Raikkonen wins Hamilton cannot tie on points with Raikkonen as he would have six season wins to Lewis's four.

Lewis Hamilton will be champion if:
He finishes first or second
He finishes third with Alonso 2nd or lower
He finishes fourth with Alonso 2nd or lower
He finishes fifth with Alonso 2nd or lower (they would be tied on points, but Hamilton would win tie-break based on second places)
He finishes sixth with Alonso 3rd or lower and Raikkonen 2nd or lower
He finishes seventh with Alonso 3rd or lower and Raikkonen 2nd or lower (Alonso and Hamilton would be tied on points, but Hamilton would win tie-break based on second places
Fernando Alonso will be champion if:
He wins and Hamilton finishes 3rd or lower (Alonso would win tie break 5-4 on wins)
He finishes second with Hamilton 6th or lower
He finishes third with Hamilton 8th or lower and Raikkonen 2nd or lower
He finishes fourth with Hamilton not-scoring and Raikkonen 3rd or lower
Kimi Raikkonen will be champion if:
He wins with Hamilton 6th or lower and Alonso 3rd or lower (if Hamilton 6th, Kimi wins 6-4 on wins tie-break)
He finishes second with Hamilton 8th and Alonso 4th or lower (both would result in tie that Kimi wins 5-4 on victories tie-break)

As pointed out in another thread on here (although Ive not checked myself), in this scenario the two drivers would have 4 wins apiece AND 5 second places apeice. Assuming it then goes to 3rd place these are also equal as are 4th place so it could be decided on 5 place finishes which Lewis will have more of (again according to the other thread) so he'd still win. Imagine losing a championship by virtue of having less 5th place finishes!He finishes fifth with Alonso 2nd or lower (they would be tied on points, but Hamilton would win tie-break based on second places)
ETA just checked it and that is indeed correct. Also worth noting that the only way Alonso can be equal points with Hamilton and win the race is if he wins the race, all other scoring scenarios either countback to the extra 5th place of Hamilton if Alonso finishes second and Hamilton 5th, or by virtue of Hamiltons's additional second place if Alonso finishes 3rd or lower with Lewis also down the points list further.

If you watch a nascar race you will see the cars are at the limit of adhesion for virtually a whole lap so that is for almost 200 miles of a 200 miles race.
That must take some serious concentration and skill.
Overtaking moves can take several laps inch by inch side by side at 200mph plus.

The wages in Nascar are big bucks too. look at the product endorsements and the sizes of the crowds at each meeting.
I suppose being a southern state preoccupation you do get the weather though which we don't have on the many pissing down days I have spectated at silverstone
