Hi all,
We seem to have a puncture on one of our run flat tyres and wondered if you can get them repaired or not as the tyre is virtually new, its going in for a service tomorrow and the woman i booked it in with said run flats cant be repaired.
Cheers

They can be repaired, but most places will refuse to, or claim it's impossible. They don't know how long it's been run on the sidewall (will be one of the excuses they use).

Some info here: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_wheels_...

I had exactly the same thing with mine a few days after i bought it. I was advised not to get it repaired as it could have been driven for quite some time before the car picked up it was flat.

I paid £113 fitted for mine from pro-tyre. I looked on the micheldever tyre website and found my nearest tyre supplier which turned out to be just down the road!!

Cheers mat,
I took the car in to the main dealers today for what i thought was going to be an inspection 2 service but only needed a brakefuid change and coolant change, and i asked them for a price
on the run flat, and to my astonishment they rang me up and said we need to take it off the rim and re-seal it, costing £15 birilliant could not believe it.
