Bonnet catchy thing

Sorry have searched and cant see this previously mentioned, well except for a cerbera and dunno if the same...Anyway, the black underside of bonnet clip has gone belly up, so have removed the bonnet stay for the moment. Dont need it as the Griff isn't missing a beat, there I have said it now, any ideas/abuse gratefully etc.. Ta, Bob

At first I thought that Bonnet Catchy thing meant the thing you lean on by the drivers side wiper that locks the bonnet down, but then you mention the say and not using it because the car is running lovely, so now I'm confused.

Can you be telling me in words of one syllabub what you am meaning

Ok, sorry, the small, 'U' profile black plastic clip under and affixed to, the underside of the bonnet that holds the bonnet stay bar in place when the bonnet is closed.
