My non-starting griff - I have verified I have sparks, so I guess I need to check the fuel pump is running. I can hear the usual ticking when I turn the ign on but I guess this is the low pressure pump - I assume there is an injection pump also.

Whats the easiest way to verify fuel is up to pressure. I was toying with undoing the fuel temp sender in the front of the fuel rail and just seeing if fuel p*sses out but its not very subtle is it ?

There is only one pump, situated on the lower chassis rail inboard from the nearside rear wheel.

When you put the ignition on you should hear it run for a few seconds.
This primes the system, when the engine is running the pump runs all the time.

If you cant hear the pump prime, then it can be one of the following.
Pump fuse in the ECU loom.
Either of the two silver relays in the ECU loom
Bad connections on the pump.

It is possible to put a 12v supply straight to the pump, if the car then starts you know its the control circuit of the pump.
