Very tidy and smooth Peter - it looked to me like the Porsche was holding you up....I think he should have moved out of the way shouldn't he ?
Maybe you could attach a microphone inside your helmet and do a commentary as you drive round - that would be interesting..
Have you ever done any Speed events ? Sprints or Hillclimb ?
Regards
Kelvin

I leave all that racing stuff to my man Mr Paul Haimes, guess you might know him?
No, don't think he was really holding me up. I was about his pace though, but I do have more HP so I thought I'd be quicker on the straights.
It certainly didn't slow Sean up:

How good is that!

Yes, I know Paul.....he is a bit quicker than me though ! I used to get pretty close to him in the 2-litre class a few years ago, I think...No more hillclimbing for me, for the time being, as I have now sold my Gould single-seater, so that I can concentrate on building the Ultima..Regards

Great vids, LuckyP. You were really doing well there...until the power outage.
Was Sean sitting with you while running around behind that 997 Cup car?
There were a couple of areas that it looked like the 997 was doing well. The first was in what I think is "Russell Bend" right-left-right. The second place was on track-out crossing the dirt (out of Sear Corner?).
It also sounded like, when Sean was driving, the RPMs may have been higher coming out of Sear. So, you were keeping your distance from the 997, or Sean's exit speed may have been higher (with no traffic). If the latter is true, the 997 would have been history on the Revett Straight.

Yeah, Sean was able to keep the speed up a lot more (something about 10 years motorsport experience It also sounded like, when Sean was driving, the RPMs may have been higher coming out of Sear. What is it with those race drivers hugging the pit wall up the start finish straight? They all seem to do it but have to say its pretty impressive when your hanging your head over from the other side.
Steve
Tell me about it!! He said that due to cross winds at Snetterton, you can get and extra 2mph, enough to slingshot you past another car??, by hugging the wall. I was suffering a bit from Notinmycaritus that day, so I kept my distance!!Steve

Great vids Lucky, keep posting them and we'll keep watching them !
A quick (boring) question : How often do you change your oil ? I guess your car gets as much stick as any ! I guess AS would say daily with that sort of usage ?
A few days before each track day, so I guess every 1000 miles or so.

So you were carrying an extra 200 pounds, then? I couldn't see if there was a passenger in the 997.LuckyP said:

Yeah, experience counts! The more seat-time you have on a particular track, the better your times should be.

We'll be checking that out. Keep the vids coming, LP. I shoot a few vids here and there, so I appreciate the effort it takes to put them up. You've got to pack your left luggage bin with blank media and head over to the Nordschleife at Nürburgring!!!Fook me! That's brilliant
Looked like Sean was giving it 100% to me
....and I think you had better stop these track days P, you are getting too damn good. You will show us all up if we do a track day together

Keep the vids coming though, If you took 96 mins of film, that means a 10 min shot on Ph tv once a week for 9 weeks! Takes us almost to Christmas

btw, is your suspension still in one piece?

I'll give you the next installment, Sean's first ever drive of a GTR, right away. See ya in 20.
(ETA - You Tube just rejected due to length - soz)

Sean is very aggressive over the curbs!!
Lordy, you can say that again. I'd worry about doing that unless I had a racing budget to fall back on ! Nevertheless, a fabulous bit of footage - all power to you Lucky P :-)Those kurbs looked fierce? You should have felt them!!
