Hello, Any idea what car the front brake hoses originate from? I assume the Griffith uses the same part as the GLORIOUS lick Chimaera.
Or is it a TVR specific part?

Get a set of Goodridge lines for about £40, improve pedal feel no end.

What he ^^^^ said.
Considering you are going to the trouble of replacing the brake lines, it seems a bit of a no brainer to upgrade to the braided versions bearing in mind their relatively small cost.
I installed them not so long ago and the job is simple with the braided hoses being a doddle to fit.
Good luck with the job thumbup

There's no point in doing just the front set, do all four with Goodridges. Otherwise you're not going to get the improved feel properly. Then you have to do a load more bleeding when you do the rears.
Braided hoses are slightly longer than standard.
The easy way is to just order from a TVR specialist. Mine came from Tower View.

When I bought them from Tower View they came as two separate sets, front and rear.

The OP was talking about just doing the front when he spoke of rubber hoses. I was just being clear for his benefit. He thinks chimps are GLORIOUS, so obviously, I typed slowly for his benefit. hehe

I know you're recommending doing the whole car, as is good practice.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to get braided hoses but wondered if the fronts, which are quite long, were from a mass produced motor. Makes searching out bargains on ebay easier. Mind you £45 + vat for the full braided sets not a bad deal.

Tower View do a good set. Fronts are a doddle to fit. Rear are easy in theory, but you need a set of very thin and supple fingers to get at the junction with the metallic lines. Good luck.
