Newbie saying hi!

Hello all, I just wanted to say hi as I have been trawling this forum, along with the US noble forum anonymously for about a month or so now, gathering as much relevant information as I can about M12s before (hopefully) my first purchase.
I am hoping to buy before next summer and will be buying for road use only with the possibility of a couple of track days thrown in as it would be rude not to.
I shall be searching for a GTO3 hopefully with a 6 speed box and LSD when the time comes. I'd like to think I could get one with around 10-20k miles for around the 24-27k mark by then but only time will tell.
In the mean time I'll be using my trusty peugeot for the winter months and hopefully have emptied the garage of my current weekender ready for next year.
So anyone thinking of selling with that spec, whether standard or not near that time, please think of me!!!

One suggestion, though -- I suspect the market for used, hi-performance cars is somewhat seasonal there as it is here in most of the U.S. So, if you can swing it, I suspect you will be able to negotiate a better "deal" on a car you like during the dark days of winter when sales are likely to be somewhat depressed compared to spring.

Hiya ! ... as a fairly recent addition to this forum welcome 
to one of the most informed groups of people you are likely to meet ! Good luck finding a car ....you wont regret it ! ...I bought mine in february when prices can be lower and spent a month or so sorting the little problems ready for a nice long hot summer ! 
In spite of the weather I have loved every minute of owning and driving it ! ..fantastic car !

I bought a GTO-3 last year and after sorting a few bits out it has been very reliable and above all fantastic to drive! I would recommend finding a good car above all, mine has the five speed with original diff but wasn't put off as the car was so nice. You will only need the LSD if you upgrade the engine or do lots of track days, or are unlucky. The gearchange is much nicer with the six speeder though.
You do need to have some money put by just in case things do go wrong, these cars can be expensive to fix, parts are resonable but the labour charges can mount up.
Hope you manage to find the right car soon, you won't regret it

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps my intention was to try and take advantage of the potentially lower winter prices as you have suggested. On the flip side though, it would seem that I am having some difficulty in selling my current car due to the very same reason 
Someone has touched on a question I have already: When I find a car, what should I put aside for annual running costs? My mileage will be under 3k per annum but clearly I'll need a service and any minor remedials as and when.
I have no wish to modify the car when I get one, but then I have said that about virtually every car I have owned in the last 10 years or so

hello welcome to the forum
you might struggle to get one with all the bits you want for that budget, might be cheaper to go for a 2.5 that has a track day sump and uprated gearbox
thay are awesome fun and have so much presence on the road, a real head turner !

As gadge says, you are bing a bit optimistic in getting that spec. M12 values seem to be firming if anything.
On running costs, if you can't afford a big bill ensure you get the Kerridges warranty, and budget £2-3k per annum for servicing, parts and tyres/brakes.

I expect that I'll have to compromise with my requirements for a car but hopefully only with 1. Either a higher mileage exampe or without 'box conversion, but I think the price should be about right.
