I'm a relative PH newbie, been to a few meets and the people/atmosphere seem different and I like it! beer
I liked it so much that I started considering going to BTaP, but was unsure because I'd be all alone. paperbag
A quick reassurance chat was had with my old friend Kinky (we go waaaay back!) and I found myself, card in hand booking a ticket and a room.

So now I need friends to go with! Kinky has promised to hook me up with a few other BTaP virgins, but I'd ideally like to go with a few of you lovely Yorkshire lot.

So, I suppose, what I'm asking, is - will you be my friend? rotate

Kinky??? You were recommended something by KINKY and you agreed to do it??? roflroflrofl

Seriously - I also know of said kinky but cannot for the life of me remember meeting him, which I must do this time round yes

Send an email to Sue at the BTaP email address and ask her to put you either on Kinky's table or one of the Yorkshire lots table. At my first BTaP 4 or 5 years ago I was on a table with people I didn't know, but then a couple of hours later you know 7 or 9 new people.

Check out the northun run to BTaP thread on the BTaP forum and add your name to the list, then you'll know about a dozen people before you even get there smile

Wooooo! Have added myself to the first (barring Scotland!!) meet point. I'm assuming the idea is to stop at each of the points along the way and pick up a few more carriages?

To be honest ... the first "official" meet point is historically Woodhall Services where most of us start from. That first one near York was only added when there were a fair few coming down from the N.East. That doesn't seem to be the case this year so, whether you meet up with Mark or not, probably safest getting yourself down to Woodhall.

Where are you based?

Leeds. I don't mind getting down to Woodhall, it might be slightly easier than going across to then go down.

Hey Andy,
Just been chatting to you on Facebook (i know i'm a saddo...) and just wanted to confirm that I am also a BTaP virgin. We have asked to be put on a table with the Yorkshire contingent, so hopefully will see you there.

Or in fact, will see you at Woodall first.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Jane

Well this cold weather's not good for it you know.
Mark my words, it'll come to you one day as well...then you'll be wishing you'd never got rid of that beige Volvo 340DL you loved so much.
hehe
