what i need to know is can vauxhalls inadvertantly reset the ecu and loose any tuning that has been done during servicing. If they can and it reverts back to standard settings, will this affect fuel consumption. mine was happily doing 18s there or there abouts depending on whether io was driving like a willy. now even pootling round like me gran i can just scrape 12s. seems a bit coincidentle its after a service

They can reflash the ecu yes. Depending on if it is locked or not etc. Why not ask them if they did.

think im going to have to check with them but i bet there unlikly to own up if i have to pay for a retune. car was tuned by picadors so hope i dont have to take it all the way back to them to have it retuned

If Picadors it would be a Wortec tune and therefore locked.

Personally I would only trust one of the proper Monaro garags to service the thing.

was a monaro garage but obviously a bit further north than the ones in the know.

Are you getting any codes? It might be something else like dodgy o2 sensors etc. But any wortec place should be able to let you know if the tune is still there or not.

Not true, a lot of Wortec tunes (mine included) are not locked.

i presume by codes your talking about hooking it up to tech 2 at vaux or is there a way round it. just seems a bit coincidentle that its after it had a service.
