Hello all

I've decided that instead of narrowing my axle, needing new shafts etc i'm just going to go for a new set of alloys, fingers crossed I can fit some 14" wide ones in, if not then the widest I can.

The alloys are from memory, 15 X 10 in the back and 14 / 5ish in the front.

I don't have pictures of the wheels by themselves as i'm not currently at home.

Anyone know what ones they actually are and if they are worth selling? Never had any drive on them and from what I understand, have not turned in anger in 21 years :-O

Is a matching set worth more haha

I think when i've found the alloys I want i'll chuck them on ebay with no reserve. They do have a pair of Kelly Supercharger rear tyres on though, brand new but after all these years i'm sure they are made of Bakelite.

You'll definitely get a decent price if you sell the set mate, although as they're quite an "old skool" wheel they won't fetch a masive amount. We got a £150 quid when we sold our old set a few years ago I think, but we had some funky back-spacing so they were a bit more oddball than yours.

That Escort looks the dog's dangle-bag's though, can't wait to see it finished, it should look proper punk! biggrin

Just my opinion, i've got autodrags on my car and i cant see any benefit, changing to a newer set of wheels other than fashion, if you had steels i could see why in weight and rolling resistance alone. The money you spend on a set of wheels, could be used to uprate the motor, or a better convertor etc.

We saved a lot of unsprung weight by switching from Centerline Autodrags to Weld Alumastar II's. Although we did switch to spindle mounts at the same time which helped.
