Hi All,
Done a search but can't find this info anywhere. I am thinking about a 430 and wanted to know a little more about servicing etc. Am I correct in saying car needs a service at 1250, 6250, 12250 miles?? Are any of these major? - any advice on approx costs?
At what milage does any major work like cambelts need to be done?
Cheers
Dave

The 1250 service is not a proper "scheduled" service, but is something that some main dealers carry out (foc) to check that everything is OK. The service intervals are 6250 and multiples thereof or annually whichever comes 1st!
Cambelts cost an absolute fortune, it is a highly involved process during which you have to not only completely remove the engine, but buy a complete "old technology" 360 engine and fit that in its' place! If you don't do this, you'll feel completely left out at Owner's Club meetings when all the 348/355/360 owners whinge about the cost of cambelt changes and how they are 3 years in the UK and 5 years in the USA etc.
PS. the 430 engine is chain driven, hence no belts to change!

Although to be fair the 360 belts don't require and engine drop and only cost about 400 quid - I think most ferrari owners can handle the extra burden of 133 quid a year that the belts add.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
