Should be able to find previous similar posts with a search.

I would check the dash ECU by your right foot (when driving) to ensure all connections are secure. Other than that the consensus in previous posts seems to be to live with it for the time being....

Thanks for that paul, funny you should mention the the box boy my right foot, as i removed that silly piece of velvet covered flat sheet the other day. And typical TVR attachment of vital componants/control boxes, Bloody sticky backed velcro!! every thing was dangling and hanging on its cables, so i will check all conections.Ta for that mate!!bow
Dave.
PS, can you describe the dash ecu, as the large one i found had window control box on it.

Thanks for that Darren, made for some interesting reading, but my problem seems small compared with all the others,as mine only has about 3 lines missing. I thought about giving Leven a call.

I thought you had sold the T350 in favour of the quiet life in a narrow boat?
Nick (now got myself a shiny red Tamora)

Maybe this is the problem........

The dash ECU is about the size of a small box of Milk Tray (150mm x 200mm?)with 2 ribbon connectors at one end and 3 "blocks" of pin(?) connectors at the other.

My T350C dash started going like this, a few lines that disappear after it all gets hot with driving, but then more lines, then more, then not clearing up when hot.... it's a faulty display unit on it's way out.... but the ecu connection is a worthwhile check as my brand spanking new one sometimes goes hay wire if the connector moves...

When it gets unbearable, get yourself up to Track V Road (http://www.trackvroad.com), who have an excellent relationship with a very special person near Bristol Avenue who repairs faulty displays and even managed to get me a brand spanking new one (under warranty)

Cheers

Do you know if they repair them with different parts that won't fail again or still use the original components?

Over the last year mine has become increasingly difficult to read, at the mo I can live with it but just interested to see how much it costs to fix. My dealer has quoted me circa £600 with it being sent of ?where probably to this person at bristol ave I suspect.

I made a spare from the Farnell catalogue, easy to do but the green isn't quite the same. I have it as a back-up for when mine eventually goes. cost about £100 to make.

I haven't pulled a T350 LCD to bits, but have done so with a Tuscan LCD.

For the technically minded, the Tuscan LCD glass is connected to its PCB using two zebra strips and a bonded flexi cable. The flexi cable is the problem as with various amounts of pressure on the cable bond, i could re-surrect a damaged LCD. I haven't seen the LCD glass construction but i believe the flexi strip is responsible for the rows across the screen and the Zebra strips the columns. I expect the T350 to be a similar construction.

I have pricing and availability of the displays from the UK distributor. The bad news is that as of 19 June the distitributor had no spare stock of the T350 LCD and there is a MOQ of 80pcs, which isnt good news! I have asked for an update on stock levels today.

£600 to fix is exorbitant!

Konrad.holl posted http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0... that he had located a replacement LCD from Farnell. Its not identical by a long shot but will work in the pod of a T350.
