Im sure its been done hundreds of times....

Try SBD or Flowtech ( if they still exist ) They used to sell bellhousings.

Burton or Rally Design might do as well.

Yukspeed carries all the parts you should need to fit the engine (very common conversion in Escorts):

Bellhousing
Sump (required to clear the Escorts crossmember, don't know if MGB will need it)
Spigot bearing
Clutch plate
Exhaust manifold
Inlet manifold (For DCOE carbs or throttle bodies)
Engine mounting kit (weld it together yourself).
ARP big end bolts (make sure you fit these!).

They also sell the MBE igntion ECU if you want to run carbs, but throttle bodies and fuel injection will really get the best out of the engine (~200bhp with no internal mods apart from ARP big end bolts).

If you're interested, I have a Pinto 2.1 rally spec engine and special type 9 competition box sat in my garage, a fresh build. My mate owns it as he bought it in a kit car and then decided to use a bike engine. I don't like pintos and I really don't like them taking up space in the garage. It was used in a competetive hillclimb/rally escort before being freshened up.
