My key fob stopped working the other day. I assumed it was simply that the battery had run out, so i bought a replacement battery, took the fob apart and then struggled for bloody ages to put it back together the same way again. I finaly thought i had all the bits in the right place but when i tried it out it didn't work. To be honest I'm a bit embrassed about letting you all know that i can't successfully change a battery but I thought some of you might have some suggestions
Thanks

It got me the first time 2. I got my spare one and opened it up and fixed it comparing the 2.

hmmm, i seem to recall something about having to re-sync the keyfob after a battery change? but can't remember how you do it - I've never had to do it myself, just remember something on here about it.

reminds me of when i thought my battery had died on the keyfob in my old Chimaera, I was at the supermarket at the time. got a taxi home to pick up the other keyfob, and a taxi back, and yet still the car wouldn't lock. so, used the manual over-ride stick thing to get the car started, only to notice the garage door blipper thing had it's light on. the button had got stuck down - fiddled with it til the button popped back up; now both keyfobs worked perfectly! What a tit I felt!!!!! confusedlaugh
