Some nice chap sold me a pup - he claimed that this was for a Subaru Impreza... it is not as the offset is too small.

ET35

Otherwise it is a genuine Speedline/Prodrive stamped GC-07B
PCD 100
17 inch by 7JJ
looks unused...

What car is it for please?

It is for an Impreza. Different models have different PCD, that one will fit the Hawkeye WRX and i think most of the newage cars but not the current Sti.

Not sure about the classic, but i think there are some it will fit. What have you tried it on?

no - the PCD is not the issue - the issue is that the offset is wrong for an Impreza.

Hmmm, certainly looks like an Subaru wheel, perhaps you could call Prodrive and try to find out.

Is it possible its a genuine rally wheel if they used a different offset?

Another possibility could be the 1st-gen Legacy?

Good call...

it crossed my mind too, but it is the same weight as the other 'aftermarket' wheel, 10kgs and IMO too heavy for professional rallying.

Wheel for a 22b?
because of the wider arches? Good thinking, but I don't think any Impreza has an offset of 'less' than ET40

Only Japanese car I can think of that fits the bill are the Celicas.

My 185CS and 205 could both take a 7x17 ET35 wheel with no problems. I would think its more likely it was for a rally car. Compomotive MOs are very popular in rallying, ever felt the weight of one of them?! Its really only the top flight that can afford the magnesium ones, the rest have to run normal hefty rims.

Hmmm, rally wheels are often made for strength more than weight - I looked at a v5 STi-RA Ltd which had genuine Speedline gravel wheels on it, asked the dealer if they were lighter than the standard wheels and he said no, they were actually quite a bit heavier but much much stronger. At 17" those would be tarmac wheels though so you could be right.

Ye sorry, jumped the gunwobble

Seeing the 2 together, that is a big difference. I would defo say its Subaru but i have seen prodrive wheels on other makes, one that springs to mind is an MR2 Roadster so it could be from anything really!

Sounds Like a genuine mistake to me though.

MR2 = 5x114.3
Subaru = 5x100
Only other Jap vehicle I know of using 5x100 is the Celicas I already mentioned (with that offset too) and maybe the Carina/Avensis which is 5x100.

It looks like the mystery wheel would clear a set of bulky 6pots as opposed to the correct offset wheels that would hit the caliper. I would prefer the mystery wheel as it looks like it provides a slightly wider track than standard.

I could be wrong though tongue out

Will you sell it to me please?
It's yours. Are your arches rolled already?
