Today i used my tam for work the speedo started flickering and then stopped working, upon arriving at work I turned my tam off as usual, however I noticed that the hand brake light stayed on and the green, amber and red rev indicator lights were also on?????. I then tried to start my car and nothing, however 5 mins later the car started, but the lights are still on.
It's obviously an electrical issue but a point in the right direction would be very helpfull

I had this before my display was reconditioned. I had a power failure (245?) code as well.

I could get the lights on the dash to go off by turning the key off and on a few times, or by jiggling the handbrake button.

Could be worth a try to stop it running the battery down, but ultimately mine needed to have the ECU sent off for some work.

Sounds almost identical to when my 100A fuse blew, the one between the alternator and the starter. These can apparently blow at anytime for no apparent reason. Its a 'TVR thing'wink
Firstly the fuse blows so all the electrics are running off the battery. As the juice runs out the instruments go wobble then the car stops frownwhen there's no longer enough to power the spark plugs.
Check the fuse which is in a small black box near the bulkhead under the air filter box (remove this), has thick red leads to it from the alternator & starter.
The original fuse may be 80A but I'm told its best replaced with 100A.
Yoyu may still be running on what is left in the batteryeek
Second thoughts though, depending how far you had to travel home, it probably wouldn't get you far in this conditionrolleyes

If its not the fuse. Go looking for the passenger door ecu in the passenger footwell and let it dry out and remount it so the wiring is the lowest point.

Got time to look at my car today, The fuse was ok, thanks for the sugestion. i found one of the ribbon cables to the ECU was not fully connected, i refitted it correctly charged the battery then burnt some rubber, all back on the road glad to be back.....

By the way the mounting for the ECU and electric door box is really poor, VELCRO surely there's got to be a better method for mounting..

Thanks for your help guys.

I've had a similar issue on my T350. Eventually, all interior electrics went screwy, even doors randomly opened until the battery died. Like madbadgers, my ECU had to go off to be repaired - according to the dealer it was an earth problem.
