Corrado Sunroof issues

Ever since getting the Corrado, we have had intermittant problems with the sunroof. Sometimes it won't work for days, then you get a day where its fully functional. Sometimes it will open, then won't reclose-we have to use the allen key.
I have noticed that the switch doesn't light up when the roof isn't working, so i'm thinking a possible intermittant wiring fault. I have already tried another switch. I have been told I need another motor assy, but not sure that i'm convinced
Does anyone know what feeds I should be getting at the connector plug?
