heres the thing kimmi should have a good chance of wining I think because massa will play shotgun and mix it with the macca's alonso and LH will be squabling, ferrari will be in harmony and that will be enough to win it.
without the scandle I would have qite liked the English lad to win.. hey I'm english..
but now the whole thing is suspect i want kimmi to win

Kimi is the guy with nothing to lose, Alonso can be a hot head and I'd say if he cant win the title then he'd rather see Kimi do it than Lewis, to the point where he might even take Lewis out of it as a last two fingered salute to McLaren.

That's exactly what I bet a tenner with the Mrs on.

Massa to win, as per last year.
Kimi second, gains 8 points and takes the title
Alonso to take out golden boocks to avoid him taking the title

Having had many changes of heart over the whole F1 debacle, I think Kimi would be my choice of driver to win this year. I don't want Alonso to win it as I do have suspicions over his honesty, and if Lewis won it there would be some loss of regard to the sport of F1 for me; that a rookie can walk in and take the title with apparent ease would reduce the meaning somewhat I feel (no matter how great he turned out to be), plus would it take away his ambition for F1? I'd rather Lewis came close this season and went on to take next year's title after a really hard fight (rinse and repeat). If his attitude went the way Alonso's has it would be a great waste.

The only way Kimi can win really is if Alonso takes out Hamilton, but I think Ron is going to keep them as far apart as possible, same as last time where they fueled up Alonso and put an egg cup of fuel in Hamiltons car.

Must be the neutral choice surely. He's quick, doesn't bad mouth anyone, shuts up and drives, genuinely doesn't give a 5h!t about anything, and then gets p155ed.

Agree with JP Midget. If LH can enter F1 and win the WDC at the first attempt I think it will devalue the sport somewhat. But then if he's good enough... He's certainly been the most consistent class of the field, his results tell you that, so I guess he would be the most deserving. And yuio know he's yet to get the hang of the sport - it should take a few years for anyone - so there will be more to come.

It seems like there may be too much controversy over LH winning though, but then the same could go for any of the 3, for various reasons.

Even as a patriotic Brit I would have no problem with KR winning the WDC this year. I could kinda be a bit of a lucky one, but he's well well overdue. Maybe we'd actually get to see him smile as well? I think LH needs to know what it's like to come close before actually winning it too. It would kinda make more of a man out of him (though that didn't work for Damon Hill! lol)

Just as long as that moaning baby FA doesn't win it! The new hated F1 driver for me. always need one to hate. Makes for far more entertainment. wink

Devalues is exactly the right word. In my opinion there should be no way someone can get the experience to win the title outside of F1 (esp. as they try to tout it as the pinnacle of motorsport) and walk straight into the sport to lead the championship almost since day-one, and in the same car as the reigning double world champion too.

I'll still cheer if Lewis does win, but if I was in his position it would make me start to consider other challenges elsewhere (although the seemingly big commitment and loyalty to Ron might go some way in avoiding this).

I think I've given up caring...

But, I'll support Kimi to win only if he promises to at least try and smile and look happy about it biggrin

The more I read the childish behaviour of the Lewis v Alonso camps the more I want Kimi to win now.

Bernie would be dreading that to happen which makes it all the more funnier if he did. Imagine the response you'd get from asking Kimi how he felt about winning the title?

Could you please speak up Kimi, we can't quite tell if you are happy or not laugh

Ive been waiting all season to see Alonso take Hamilton out or at least try and if you could walk into a bookies and get odds on it I would have a wager on it for the last race.

What would the FIA do if they took each other off? Would they just sit back and laugh in the knowledge that their favourite team won back both titles, or could they be penalised?

Can't wait to see the race, and I can't rememebr the last time I said in a while with regard an F1 race...

i would love for kimi to win - if only he didn't drive for ferrari!! i would really hate them to get the drivers championship as well elimating their only rival for the constructors. luca de m is a censored and i don't want him to have his driver winning.

hamania would go insane if he won, but anyway i don't think it's right or proper that a rookie, however good and accomplised, wins his first season.

and alonso appears to be a bit of a censored

so i'm not fussed about who wins - the season has been tarnished anyway - i just hope we'll get a decent race smile

I can't get excited by Kimi. He's had the tools to win the championship by now, and should be leading this one. He won the first race with a completely illegal car and yet still trails third. He's spent a couple of races trailing Hamilton, saying at the press conference that there's no chance of overtaking, then in Italy stap me, but the rookie gave him such a lesson on how to overtake, and not for the first time this season.

I was never that excited by that move at Spa, it was against an ordinary driver who was driving particularly badly at the time (Brundle literally yelling out "he's defending fresh air!!!&quotwink. I thought it paled in comparison to Alonso's move on schumacher, where he tackled the greatest driver at the fastest part of the track in a move which could well have killed him.

Kimi holds everyone in contempt. So many people thought it was great when he told Brundle he was having a shit, but Kimi knew he was on live tv and he knew what he was doing. What he was doing was telling Brundle to " off, and take your numpty telly viewers with you!"

In my book, Kimi commits a crime far worse than anything Alonso has done, which is the crime of being boring. There's nothing worse than a bore.

I don't buy into this speed thing either. For most of his career he's been quick til he crashes or he breaks something. But this year his car has been reliable, he's driven better and his car is quick also. So how come he's third in the points? I mean, i know alonso has had stick for being beaten by a rookie in the same car, but Kimi has been beaten by a rookie in a slower car quite often.
