I took the noble there about 3 years ago, you will suprised how slippy it is!!
I had trouble with traction until 3rd gear ( and back then I had blocked cats - therefore about 285bhp!!)
Will dig out my times.

As Alex says it's horribly slippy. And whilst you're right about more power in the evening, as the dew comes down it goes from wet road slippy to ice rink!

Just dug out my time...was 13.24sec with a terminal speed of 107mph. Even with only 285bhp I was spinning the wheels on every gearchange!!
That was with the original 5 speed box and bridgestones.
If you can get corsa's hot and keep traction, in theory, as Adrian says 11's are possible.
Have fun, and dont kill your clutch!!

I took my Esprit GT3 there once, the surface is truely awful. They claim that if it's even a tad damp it's slipperly but when it's bone dry it's fantastic. If you look at the web site it shows the surface looking like a sheet of glass.

Yes I am but the traction was so bad I was getting wheelspin at 2k rpm and half throttle whereas at FT I was getting 3k launches at near full throttle so on a warm day when the tarmac is stickier I think an 11 is within reach !

The surface at Santa Pod comes good if you really lower the tire pressures (about 8-10 psi) and burn out till they are tacky, not really what a Noble was designed for.

Yes I agree I decided that doing just that wasn't worth killing a set of tyres over,as its not ever going to be a drag car. I had to change gear four times in the quarter so that in itself is a big time looser.
Did have a good day tho
