Saw this the other night, Mrs Logan was there for ten minutes with Sir Stirling Moss and (the shame - can't remember his name - 'Haynes'?) the scout that first approached LH after his first race. Interesting talk, both thought that LH and FA were good competitors whose rivalry is healthy and although 'they wouldn't go to the pictures together' that they both had a professional respect for each other.
Moss said that he rated Fangio as the greatest driver of all time (as does Murray W BTW) but he rates LH highly and expects him to do very well. The 'Scout' said that Senna drove with his heart, Schumacher with his head but Hamilton drives with both. Moss nodded sagely at this.

(Sorry - not another schmaltzy 'I love LH - he can do no wrong' but just an interesting chat between people who should know what they are talking about!)

Not sure about the scout tag but Martin is the owner of Zip Karts at Hoddesdon.
I am certain that these were the Karts the Hamiltons run. Lewis must have done loads of laps at Rye House which is just up the road.
Martin was no mean driver himself in the 250 Superkarts and was European champion more than once.

Thanks for the name guys, he came across as a sound bloke - wonder what happened to his kart/car transition vehicle series, seems to have fizzled out '04-ish.

Cheers,
A

Too much competition from other junior series - FBMW notably & F Renault - so not many people signed up. Cars were sold to run in a Middle East series IIRC.

Although I've got nothing but respect for Sir Stirling, he is, of course, a Mercedes man so not completely neutral.
