I was in court a couple of weeks ago for speeding and was given 4 points and a £300 fine.
I left my licence with the court, paid my fine and went on my way.
My licence arrived back this morning with NO endorsements!! What should I do? will there be a record of the endorsements with the DVLA?
Advice would be appreciated.

Put your hands in your pockets, whistle a merry tune and saunter off trying not to look suspicious.

It's an admin error, which you know is wrong - and to do anything other than point it out to the DVLA would be immoral and wrong.

Do the right thing.

Personally I think that the government focusing on speeding and leaving serious crime alone to get worse is immoral but they never seem to get done for it rolleyes

Little Miss Clerk, no doubt head full of last night behind the bike shed, has not entered the points on the Licence and sent it back.

She may well have advised DVLA of the points.

Under certain circumstances one can depict a scenario, where, with your knowledge of the points awarded but not shown, then could lead to an offence of using a DL with intent to deceive - heavy.......

Twer me the Licence would go back to Mags Clerks Office for correction. (Try a claim for postage etc to rectify their mistake - nicely mind)

yes

The points "are there", you just can't see them on your license.

If you want to pretend you didn't get them, fine...but if you end up getting caught out with this merry dodge...BIG fine. wink

And to tell your insurance company you've had no convictions would definitely be a lie, because you have...just that the paperwork you have doesn't show points. BTW - have you told your insurance company yet? If not, and you have a crash...

I haven't told my insurance yet because I have been waiting to get my licence back to give them the code. I have however told them that I have a conviction pending.
If the DVLA have no record of these points how would it be found out?

Ermm...for a start, *you* told your insurance company there was a conviction pending, keep up! wink

Seriously, I'm being a little facetious -but if you think spinning a small web of lies is likely to save trouble rather than cause it, you need to give your head a shake.

Ermm yes when I insured my car in June I was still waiting to go to court, I insured online and was sure to go through the terms and conditions for this very reason. They wanted to know about existing endorsements or pending ones.
I have been totally honest with them from the start!
How can I declare my conviction without having the offence code? Surely they will need to know it!

(Tigger) You should stick to posting stories about your little fetish of rubbing chillies on your Knob.
Can you blame me for wanting to find out whether the points have gone onto my licence or not?

You can more than likely call the court up and ask them, or better still nip down there. Ring the DVLA? You know you were convicted - concocting some boocks to convince yourself that you can just ignore the fact is not going to help you

And you, Ben, should stick to the rules of the road, and when you get caught and convicted for not doing so, and then posting on here about it, don't start getting stupid, abusive and personally offensive about it when people point out that you're on the cusp of doing something very silly.

Would you like to come round here and have me rub chillies on your knob, knob?

Bureaucracies make mistakes - this fine weilding, income gathering one more than most. Dont cut them ANY slack, but just check out what the facts are. As someone says, ask for a dupe. BB

With respect Mustard that will disqualify him.

Section 102 Road Traffic Act 1988
A person is disqualified for obtaining a licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle of any class so long as he is the holder of another licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle of that class, whether the licence is suspended or not.

The Scotch Bonnet chili gives a good 'buzz'. If you are really into this form of self-abuse, try '16 Million Reserve' sauce applied thickly then wrap your member in cling-film. Alternatively, immersion in extra-virgin olive oil that is heated until it's just smoking can significantly enhance the experience ... and the combination makes a great dressing for tuna wink .

I have no personal experience of the above techniques as sexual aids, but vividly recall a most unfortunate occurrence involving a dash to the loo immediately following preparation of the ingredients for a curry (with no hand-washing in between).

My paper one didn't have points either when returned, but the ID-type license I got after moving house did have them on.

You say your "licence", is that a photo licence, or the old paper one, if photo licence the endorsements will be on your paper counterpart.
