What are you jealous about?

The Elise is nigh on impossible to get into with the roof on without one of those - the Griffith isn't.

woohoo
Where do I sign up?

Alright, I'll explain.
The roof on the griff is a royal PITA. Look at the number of people who are chopping them up to make them, not usable as such, but more practical for carting around when you're touring.
I know the Elise is a bugger to get out of with the roof on, I've done it and came out head first onto the floor hehe
So, here is a compromise, a hard top roof which opens upwards so you can retain your dignity when getting out of the car, and which can be unbolted and disassembled for shoving into the corner of the garage during the summer.
I just think the Elise guys have got it butter-side-up where their roof configurations are concerned.
Unless Lotusi knows better that is.

Yes the Elise roof is great, goes on and comes off quick, small enough to stow easily, lasts well and is cheap to refurb.

Good on someone for finally doing it..

Guess they just need to announce the price.

I'm still on with mine as I mentioned before the GG. The roof panel I bought to use has been given to the Guy's at Surface & Design and is currently being prepped so we can take a mould off it to create both new full roof panels and the split roof panel.
The difference here is I'm going to cut the roof across its width rather than down the middle.

The reason for that is the roof will (we think) be easier to seal and the roof will fit in the boot on top of any luggage that you have in the boot without you needing full access to the depth of the boot.

We will then take it further and create a canvas roof on a frame that can be disassembled to a much smaller form.

This was on display at Rockingham.

The 'show special introductory offer' price was £300 with a normal price of £360.

The standard finish looked cack. I asked about having it covered to match my original.

The advice was this was likely to be a poor match with the riser. Better to wait and get extra material from the same batch when renewing the riser.
