Why not, he's loaded and as his top gear lap proved, pretty decent at driving fast too. I like cowell, whilst harsh to the retards who sing for him, he's always correct in what he says.

Sorry to ruin this thread, but no he hasn't bought one. He was driving it for a few days but it was borrowed.....and doesn't intend to buy one.

I met him at a car event a year or so ago, spent about 20 mins speaking to him about all things cars. He is a very nice guy, not at all how people perhaps imagine him on telly (it is telly, remember)
He was saying how he has all these wonderful cars and hardly gets time to enjoy them, and when he is in a car its being driven by his driver!

Top guy imho, loves his cars, is pretty good behind the wheel and made all his money through being good at what he does.

Yes. I called him when I saw the thread to ask if he'd bought one as we'd discussed Veyrons in the past and he didn't seem that interested.

Isn't calling and asking exactly what you'd do if you read something about a friend of yours and what they had bought, esp if you'd previously discussed it and thought it was a no-go? What difference does it make if he happens to be famous - he happens to be someone I've known well for quite a few years, and cars is one of our shared interests.

I presume this is working up into being a "you don't really know him" type thing. I have no idea, nor interest, in how I'm supposed to prove it, my original point was that he has not bought one which remains true (unless he has done since last night which I rate as unlikely).
