It says on the back don't use on painted area's which is fine , but then at the same time you have to be very very careful not to splash or get it on paintwork when it generally a distance of 1/2 - 1 inch away from the screen.
Oh cause I did not go out to use it on paint as its for glass it dripped without me noticing from the flip cap on the end of the bottle .
Would you put nitormors with in 10 ft of your car never mind rub it around the screen being that distance from the paint . Oh and the car is in it original 2 pack paint not some crappy repaint in cellulose.
I have used to stuff for year on big glass panels on powerboat where IT works very well , but the surface next to the glass is gel coat and had no problems.
I have e-mailed them and they said yes it is has a strong Alcohol / Acid base , Mmmmmm Nice .
All i am saying it be careful if you use it , it should come in a easier application/ packaging than liquid in bottle like car polish especially with a flip cap that retains enough fluid to drip.

Guess I've just been lucky not to spill any on the paintwork. But it does say keep away from paintwork. So I have...

I assume this does not apply to the solution that goes into the windscreen washer bottles? I guess it's a weaker solution.

'Do not use on painted areas' doesn't exactly give the impression that it's going to damage your paintwork if you do. Glad it wasn't on the Tiv Andy. Wonder whether it'd damage the fibreglass?
