Hello all, i'm running 18" spiders with Toyo T1 Proxes. What would be the best pressure to run at for the most grip?

Cheers Ed

Lower the pressure the greater the grip.

Having said that, I run 28 at the front 31 at the back.

Have checked pressure and am also running with 24 and 26 psi. The reason I asked was i am new to Cerbera ownership and although dry road grip is awesome i wasn't expecting it to be quite so feisty in the wet. With it being new to me i've been taking it fairly easy when it's not bone dry but have still managed to have a couple of exciting moments. All part of the fun i guessevil

Yeah fine...

Obviously the ride is slightly harder, but I like it like that.

I haven't had any wheel spin, sliding or back out action either.

should tyre pressure be varied according to tyre size/width/profile, or is this not of too much concern?

Use an infra red thermometer to get the optimum pressure. Take it out for a run on dy roads - a mile or two is plenty - tjen measure the temperature of the tyre tread surface at both sides of the tread and the middle.

If the middle is hoter than the shoulders you are over inflated and vice versa.

IR thermometers are availabe from maplins/fleabay etc - every tool box should have one!

I run 24psi all round. Even a couple of psi more makes the car skittish
