Anyone have an update on how Mike Jordan is? Bad enough accident to have red flagged the race, but hopefully his speed coming out of the chicane wasn't too great.

My racing career ended coming out of the chicane there but I was in the armco on the right. 1971. Seems like yesterday...!

Not heard.
It ws disappointing that ITV didn't mention anything about it. Even if they knew nothing it would have been good form to at least say "we hope he's alright".

I've been digging around the usual sites and there doesn't seem to be any news as yet, so all i can do is echo the above and hope Mike is OK.

I've not heard anything but they may have red flagged it purely on the position the car was in, close to the edge of the track right on the exit of the final chicane.

You could see the doctors working with him inside the car as they crossed the finish line after the red flag came out.

Hope he is ok, one of the BTCC's good guys.

There was little mentioned about it at the end of proceedings at the circuit , I would bet that he,s just got some whiplash and they wanted to be rightly very careful.

Only saw the briefest clip of the crash on tv but it appeared to be head on into a concrete obstruction the car just stopped dead from around 70mph I should guess. Didn't look good.
I was right opposite MJ in the stands at woodcote when he crashed at Silverstone. Hope he is ok this looked like a more akward hit.. . frown

I'm very pleased to say that I have it on pretty good authority that Mike is fine, a little battered and bruised but OK.

Mike, can you stop scaring us like that!

He walked out of the car and I was in the stand and I think he either winded himself or got some bad whiplash, regardless it was bound to happen he had two earlier near misses as was attacking club far to hard for something not to have happenend eventually and so it did.

Trust me it was nothing compared to both the clio cup practice and race sessions on Saturday that had firstly a four car pile up one after the other, cause being a broken sump and the idiot not getting off the racing line in qualifying plus piss poor marshaling (sp) and then the same in the race but it was one of the back markers who was being caught and same again crap marshaling and poor driver awareness, still it made for great entertainment and nobody was hurt.

You have to hand it to Mike, closes each season with a bang, Silverstone last year Thruxton this, hopefully he is OK and he and Andrew will have a less eventful final round at Brands next year!

On the Team Eurotech site it said a broken wishbone speared him into the wall leaving Mike winded but not injured.

Just a shame she's not cheering up Matt.... he looks like a bulldog licking p off a nettle there. Come on Matt, cheer up buddy!

Really glad to hear that Mike's OK. Blimey, does he HAVE to do that in the season finale each year!!

Rob.

Mike Jordan and his pit babe often comment on MotorsTV forum, so maybe it's worth keeping a lookout there.
