HI ALL
I have a Fireblade engine in my Fisher Fury, I have just finished building it and seem to have the below problem with the car, can anyone point me in the correct direction.

The car starts fine and once warm I can redline it in the garage at around 12000 rpm, this is how it should be, the problem however is when its on the road as I am unable to accelerate beyond 8000 - 9000 rpm in any gear.
Has anyone had this before and if so could you help me.
I have changed the fuel pump and no change, I have changed the spark plugs and no change, could it be the air intakes on the carbs as these are very close to the underside of the bonnet?
any help would be much appriciated.
regards

Have you tried running it on the road without the bonnet? If so and it still happens, then the jetting is wrong. These leaves two options, buy a dynojet kit and fit it, or get a rolling road place to do the same. I'd go RR personally, just to be sure all is well.

Quite a few places are getting better at it, as bike carbs are getting more and more popular. It might be worth finding a bike RR and ask them what settings are best for your set up. There may, for example, be a jet you need to block or similar. Might be worth asking over on the locost site, as I'm sure this has been asked before over there.
