New wheels, what do you think??
Discussion
As the rubber needed changing, i decided to replace the rims as well.
Iv gone from black, back to silver as the black ones were getting very popular and i like to be different. I think they look great and the brembo's, which i have finally had fitted, look really good behind them.
The general opinion of the scooby lads is that the others were better so i wanted to get the opinion of the rest of the jap car community. Not that it will make any real difference, i kind of like being a little against the grain.
Sorry its a link, but if anyone knows how to post the pics, feel free!

Black - 5
Silver - 1
The blacks have it

Personally, it's whatever floats your boat, and if the Silver does it for you then brilliant.
I have to disagree with one thing, although, and as i said to you when you first came on PH with your car Mr. evil.soup, it's a lovely car, and in WR1 Blue it does it for me bigtime
, however, I see a lot more Silver wheels on lots and lots of common cars than Black wheels. I regard Black wheels as a lot rarer than silver, but Gold Wheels ... Nichol@ ... are even rarer still, and wouldn't look the part on anything other than a Blue Scooby

To tell the truth, it wasnt so much the colour that was getting too popular for me, but the PPF7 design. I was going to get the BBS style ones in graphite but they were sold out and i was offered a deal i couldnt refuse on the silver ones. Im not going to say how much i paid for them but i saved a little over £200 getting the silver ones, so i figured that if i didnt like them i could get them sprayed and still save money. I dont think i am going to do it though as i think they really look great as they are, if only we could get some kind of PH Jap meet going you could take a look in the flesh, it makes a big difference.Silver - 1

I've got some Std MY02 WRX wheels in the garage in Silver, am going to get them refurbed and painted up shiny gloss Black, they should look nice like that...very stealth. Like i said....each to their own and if you think they look the biz then i won't argue with you on that one, although i still prefer the black

I would like to see yours in the flesh though

the silver ones do look v nice, but i really really like the black ones, in fact, i fitted them the same day that i collected them from Mr Soup, i'll get some pics posted up as soon as i get chance.
The black does look good on the WR Blue. How do you find the car since you have put them on?Looking forward to seeing it

i expected to find a much 'crashier' ride over our potholed roads compared to the standard 17" alloys, but surprisingly, the ride feels much much better, my other 'alf no longer says she feels seasick, and it feels noticably more accurate in corners and more stable at high speeds, well impressed. just an extra £17 on the insurance too. . . i'll take some pics on the weekend providing the weather's ok.

I went out on a run about 2 weeks after i had them put on and i found that they gave bags of grip. A new set of springs and it will feel like a completely different animal all together, but it will make the ride a little choppy......Not that im trying to encourage you to spend your hard earned of course
