American Radar / Laser detectors??

I bought a Radar / Laser detector in America recently and I was wondering if it will work OK over here? It claims to pick up X, Y and Ka band as well as having 360degree laser protection. Do we use the same bands over here? It seems to pick up the local supermarket a treat but has yet to pick up any cameras. Should it pick up cameras or are all the ones I've been past inactive?

For British use, I believe you can disable X band. In fact, even in most of North America, X band is rarely deployed by police these days. K and Ka (and Ku if available) should be enabled.

i brought a V1 a couple of weeks ago direct from the USA, after speaking to the manufacturers they only make one unit and they sell it worldwide. Its picked up laser, and I have Ku,K, and Ka bands on at the moment, works well over here
