Hi guys,

Just a quick warning, oviously we are all careful with our respective machines however,

A friend of mine had his X50 stolen in Wales on friday, the keys were taken from his office (while he was there), it was a gated compound and someone had broken into the whole grounds.

The car was quickly recovered after a helicopter chase using tracker, it seems absolutely fine but will need a check over.

Bloody thieving scum!

happened to me....I had car nicked from my drive. Bastards knocked on my door on jan 1st a few years back and held me an my girlfriend at gunpoint for 3 hours...tied us up, kicked and beat me around the head with the gun, followed by a well planted boot to the face...nice!

Luckily they caught the main perpetrator the following night after a helicopter chase...he was wearing my clothes, my watch and driving my car!! He was sent down for life. The moral of the story to all who own nice cars....BE CAREFUL WHO YOU ANSWER THE DOOR TO!

A few months before that I had the old bamboo cane through the letter box treatment as they tried to fish the keys off the hall table. 2nd moral....dont leave your keys in reach of your front door.

Maybe I was just unlucky...or maybe that was just inner-city Manchester for you! Needless to say we moved to leafy Cheshire sonn after...to a house with a bloody good garage!!

that is disgusting, it must have taken a long time for you both to get over that. Glad he was caught.

Jarvis, you don't need me to point out what PHers think about the scum who perpetuated that disgracefulg crime against you. I just hope they have a bad day everytime they take a shower.

Don't these muppets realise you can't insure these high powered expensive vehicles without having tracking systems on them. The chance of getting away with it is so remote you wonder why they bother. The only way they can get away with anything is to strip the car down to components before the owner realises.

Thanks for the concern...we were pretty messed up for quite a while.

As for them thinking they were going to get away with it...I don't think they had the mental agility to get that far with the plan....all three of them were off their heads on crack (the main man had just escaped from a max security prison, having just broken his cell mates legs....for some reason!) I think they were just looking for a bit of "gangster chic" until they were caught.
