What are peoples opinions on here as I am really torn between what to buy.

Ive always had the dream to get a Ferrari since I was 5 years old and now I can actually afford one. Ive already determined the the 355 is the best Ferrari to go for with my budget, but Ive also really started to like the Ultima Can-Am for the same money or less.

Whats your thoughts please? I dont want to waste £40k on the wrong car.

If I were you, I would buy a good 355 this winter. You might fall in love with it and never wish to sell it. However, if you do wish to sell it, it will be a lot easier to sell next summer for potentially nothing less than you paid for it. Try that with an Ultima!

P.S. I respect Ultimas and they offer a hell of a lot of performance for the money but you don't really need to spend £40k to get that level of performance...

Wouldn't that be the same, if not less, than the F355 then?

I built an Ultima and now have a 360. If you've always wanted a Ferrari got and get yourself a Ferrari. Performance isn't everything and although the Ultima's a stunning looking car it's really impractical and the little quirks that initially seem attractive will start to irritate. It's quite good fun climbing over a wide high sill but sometimes it's a pain, you get used to reversing purely on wing mirrors but sometimes it's nice to be able to see directly behind, the purists of course will eschew ABS but on our roads it's actually pretty handy etc. etc.
