Paint protection

I paid £750 for the anti chip, paint protection business... I cannot see ANY real difference in the rate at which the car gets dirty. Am I missing something or is it just a rip off?

What treatment has been applied to your car?

A paint sealant, such as Supagard, Dimaondbrite or Lifeshine?
Which are designed to remove/reduce the need for waxing/polishing and make it easier to clean your car.

Or...

An anti-stone chip film, such as Paintshield or Armourfend?
Which, as the name suggests, are designed to protect the paint from being chipped by stones etc.

Yes, the salesman at work will say anything to shift this rubbish. £750 seems a lot mind must be the protection film surely!

You would be surprised - some (Honda & BM) are selling Diamond Ultra Brite for this money. They are asking between £500 - £750.

You even get your little kit bag worth £199 with a microfibre cloth and top up bottles (probably worth about £19.99 in reality).

Ask any pro detailer about these treatments and they will tell you they are sh*te. IMHO you are far better washing yourself, sealing with something liek Klasse or Jetseal 109 and chucking a bit of wax on the top. Far more durable and miles better finish.

It should help get the cack off and should help protect against bird lime, fallout, acid raid, colour fade and usualy can withstand a nearby detonation from a nuclear bomb. On a Thursday.

It did seem AWFUL spendy, tbh, but was promised it was very effective.

Still, they chucked in the tracker for a lot less, as a buy one get one cheaper deal... My guess is the tracker cost exactly the same as it always does, but they loaded the cost into the paint treatment.
